Sutter’s Landing Park – American River Walk (6 miles)
July 29, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Sutter’s Landing River Walk, Sunday, July 29th – 8:30am-12pm
We will be meeting at Sutter’s Landing Park for a lovely 6 mile walk along the American River. Up on the levee, we have a route that is primarily car- and bike-free, where we can spread out and walk without worry!
This is an opportunity to meet with other Sacramento Area Camino enthusiasts, ask questions about your upcoming walk – or, ask about a new route you are considering – test out gear, reminisce, mentor new walkers(!!), learn about upcoming events for the chapter, and continue to cultivate the camino camaraderie here at home! New walkers and returnees … all are welcomel!!
Bring water, snacks, hat, sunscreen, and appropriate shoes and/or gear for your six mile walk along the gravel levee. Feel free to bring your pack and/or poles, or any gear you’d like to test out.
Note: We will have our super special “Donativo Stand” at the halfway mark!!
We will meet under the solar panel parking structure by 8:15am with our walk starting promptly at 8:30am. Entrance to this regional park is free, as is the plentiful parking.
Sutter’s Landing Park is at the end of 28th Street in downtown Sacramento. Turn down 28th Street, going past Stanford Park at 28th and C, and continue towards A Street. You will go up and over the railroad tracks … and into this lovely regional park. The solar panel parking structure will appear on your right soon after you enter the park. We will be waiting for you there!
See you at 8:30am to walk along the American River!!
