The Camino has seen many changes in the past year or so. One of the biggest changes is the need to use a QR Code to register in many of the Albergues. This program is being implemented by the Spanish government. You are now require to complete an online registration form which will then generate a QR code that you should screen shot and save as you will need it many times and only need to register once.
To further confuse things there are two different sites that are being used. Pilgrims Pass is the primary. The secondary that is being used by some Private Albergues is Aloha2. You will need to register at the first albergue that requires it.
